About Adverbe Media

Adverbe Media is a podcast network documenting the stories, people, and ideas shaping African creativity, culture, and commerce. We're building an archive of conversations that matter, with a different approach to how podcasting is done in Ghana. Our flagship show, MAD Conversations, is a video-first podcast exploring the Marketing, Advertising, and Digital industry in Ghana. Through in-depth conversations, we document notable campaigns, strategies, and case studies that are moving the industry forward.

The Role

We’re looking for a Creative Production Assistant who is comfortable on both sides of production; on set and post production. This is a supporting role built around two core responsibilities: production support and graphic design. In production, you’ll be our dedicated photographer on set during recording sessions, capturing the stills that document the making of each episode, while also providing post-production editing support to our Video Producer/Editor when workload demands it. In design, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and executing the visual templates that give our content a sharp, consistent, and professional look. This isn’t an entry-level job in name only, your work will be published, your eye will matter, and your output will directly represent Adverbe to our audience. You will be guided closely (not micro-managed) to deliver.

What You'll Do

1. Production Support (60%)

On set (Primary):

Your primary on-set responsibility is photography. You are the dedicated stills person on every recording day — responsible for capturing portraits, behind-the-scenes moments, and production photography that tells its own story and feeds our content pipeline.

  • Capture high-quality stills throughout every recording session: guest portraits, candid production moments, and setup shots
  • Frame and compose shots that reflect Adverbe’s visual aesthetic — clean, editorial, and purposeful
  • Cull, select, and lightly retouch the best images from each shoot
  • Deliver polished photo sets within 48 hours of recording
  • Build and maintain an organized archive of production photography across all episodes

Beyond photography, you’ll provide general hands-on support to the Video Producer/Editor during shoots:

  • Assist with equipment setup and breakdown: cameras, lighting, audio, and studio gear
  • Monitor technical quality during recordings and flag issues as they arise

Post production (Secondary)

When production workload is high, you’ll step in to support the Video Producer/Editor in completing editing tasks. This requires a working knowledge of video editing software and the ability to execute clearly defined tasks with quality and efficiency.

  • Assist with video editing tasks as directed: rough cuts, clip trimming, audio syncing, and export preparation
  • Edit 3–5 short promotional clips (30–90 seconds) per episode for social media under the direction of the senior editor
  • Ensure brand consistency and quality standards are met on all post-production work you contribute to
  • Communicate proactively about progress and flag anything that needs the senior editor’s attention

2. Graphic Design (40%)

You’ll be responsible for producing the visual design assets that support every episode release and broader content activity. This is primarily execution work — working within established templates and brand guidelines — but your creative judgment and attention to detail will determine the quality of the final output.

  • Design and produce episode thumbnails for YouTube and audio platforms, working within established templates
  • Create promotional graphics, quote cards, and digital promo materials for social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, X)
  • Adapt all visual assets for different platform dimensions and specifications
  • Maintain brand consistency across every visual touchpoint — typography, colour, imagery, and layout
  • Collaborate with the Distribution & Community Coordinator to ensure design assets are delivered on time for publishing
  • Flag and raise design system improvements to the founder when you identify inconsistencies or upgrade opportunities

Nice to Have (But Not Required)

  • Adobe Lightroom or Capture One for photo editing and batch retouching
